Ride Description:

1000+ mile loop through central NV passing into AZ / UT and CA.

For those starting out heading east on I15 Tonopah would be a good mid way point with several hotels to stay out. Bishop would be a secondary alternative for those looking to front load the trip.

Recommended / known fuel stops along this route would include:
St George, UT
Enterprise, UT
Panaca, NV
Ely, NV
Eureka, NV
Tonopah, NV
Benton, CA
June Lake, CA
Bishop, CA
Lone Pine, CA
Beatty, NV

Great route due to a variety of otherwise unfamiliar terrain. Rides should prepare and plan ahead due to potential extreme weather and climates along this route. Route 120 is closed seasonally and other parts in UT / CA Sierras may be cold or have snow in winter months due to high altitude. Conversely Death Valley (route 190) is a sub-sea level desert floor that can be up to 130* during the summer so bring appropriate gear and supplies.

This route has been posted online as a prospective IBA (Iron Butt Association) if completed in < 24 hours for those originating out of Las Vegas. For rules and info on the IBA see ...
