Ride Description:
Day ride out of Phoenix east towards Globe then north on rte 60 to Show Low, AZ. Be sure to gas up in Globe. Route 60 inclines from there up to about 7000' in Show Low. Plan accordingly for climate / temperature change due to high altitude. Lots of curves and great mountain views along this portion of the ride.
There is a Days Inn in Show Low or you can head 15 miles south on the 260 to the Hon-Dah Casino.
Rtn route takes you west through the Sitgreaves national Forest to Payson where you then head south back to the Phoenix area. Great ride just check weather in advance.
