Ride Description:

One of the most beautiful stretches of road (which happens to be close to my house) in the Baton Rouge area. Tree canopy cover and swamp land for the majority of the Manchac Rd section, several sparse houses along the route. Slow pace on this road as there are several blind sharp corners and the road is shared by lots of bicyclists (especially in the summer time). The surface does have a lot of "line patches" which will make your front wheel wobble if you hit one, just need to take it easy and it is a very enjoyable road, try to incorporate it into any rides you take here. I use it as a gateway to River Rd quite frequently.
