This happens to be one of my very most favorite loop rides in this area. Oh...I may say that about a few of them, Because this area of DIXIE just continues to amaze me. I'm always finding new loop roads that give me the big smiles! Loads of rivers winding around the roads you'll be riding in TN and VA. Once you get into NC the land flattens and you will have Christmas tree farms. So here's the deal, SR 91 North into Damascus from Stony Creek TN is a road you will enjoy for it's beauty. It's in the mountains. Damascus is a great town to stop in for fuel and rest. This is a town that promotes trail riding on bicycles. Cool town. US 58 is a beautiful scenic route through the mountains mostly. Loads of rivers and creeks, a couple of weir type dams, and twisties to keep you awake. Ride safely...have fun, and enjoy the views. Take loads of pictures. Life is worth it.
