This ride will give you small water cascades, the French Broad River, Hair pin turns, narrow sweepers, some times you might find yourself in the clouds. There is one gas station on US19W, not always dependable and open. Gas up in Unicoi before you go if you have a 2 gallon tank like me. As you Travel along US 19W, if it's spring, look out, you'll be mesmerized by the beautiful colors all around you. In summer, you'll love watching the river as it winds it's way beside the road. The swinging walk bridges will capture your sight. It's all magical. SR197 is just as beautiful. A bit less technical, but with all the magical sights you could care to ride through.
