Ride Description:

Nice half day ride across Hoover Dam down hwy 93 to Rosie's Den, an old diner in the middle of the desert from the 1950's.

Exit Las Vegas south on hwy 95 to hwy 93 through Boulder City. Expect traffic over Hoover Dam esp. on weekends as well as checkpoints about 2 miles on either side of the dam. There are a few lookout points to stop at on the AZ side and a small mall on the NV side. Proceed on hwy 93 south through the canyons where after about 12 miles you will emerge on to a straight open desert hwy. Look for Rosie's on the right (west) side of the road at about the 28 mile marker (distance from the NV / AZ border).

Popular bike destination. Food is decent. There is also a gift shop in the back.

Edit: as of Aug 19th 2011 Rosie's Den was closed after 74 years due to a fire. Per their facebook page cleanup and efforts to rebuild have resumed as of March 2012. Gift shop is still open as is sale of lottery tickets.
