Long straight circumnavigation of Pahrump around Mt Charleston.
Exit Las Vegas east through either Red Rock canyon (mapped) or Blue Diamond Rd. Continue either to or through Pahrump up to hwy 95 and return to Las Vegas through Indian Springs. After going over the summit 25 miles out of Las Vegas its pretty much just an uneventful trip through open desert.
Good stopping points include the Mt Springs saloon just over the top of the mtn pass 20 miles west of Las Vegas, Pahrump as a mid point, and Indian Springs on hwy 95, 45 miles north of Las Vegas. Decent route if you are just looking to do some easy miles.
