Ride Description:
Hwy 126 west from Eugene is a very popular traveled route to the coast so beware of heavy traffic on some weekends and holidays. Its an easy stretch of hwy but the great scenery makes up for it.
A few miles past Globe head south on the Siuslaw River Rd. This 2 lane route winds along the Siuslaw River through dense mountain forests. The route is mostly chip seal so watch for loose gravel. Not much in terms of civilization until you approach Lorane but great Oregon scenery along the way. Those unfamiliar with this route should proceed with caution as there are a few banked turns that may surprise you.
Once in Lorane, the Territorial and Lorane hwy will take you NE back to Eugene. The last portion of this ride is through mostly farmland.
