Ride Description:

Exit Redding, CA heading north on I-5 where it transitions into the mountains. Great scenery on this section of I-5 including Lake Shasta, Castle Craigs, and other mountain & river views. Mt Shasta City is on the west base of Mt Shasta and includes a variety of places to stop and eat. Exit Mt Shasta heading east past the ski park and through McCloud on hwy 89. Hwy 89 travels through deep forest crossing hwy 299 heading through Hat Creek and eventually loops back around to the west through Old Station then up over Mt Lassen where it turns into hwy 44 dropping back into the Redding valley.
