Ride Description:

Route 60 out of Amherst has some great tight sweepers that take you to the Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP). The BRP has beautiful scenery and great sweeping turns of pretty much constant radius. Lots of places to stop on the Parkway and enjoy the overlook to the valley below. Route 56 is very twisty and hilly. You have to watch closely in the tight curves because there can be some gravel in the road. Route 56 is really worth the ride, its great.

A nice place to stop and picnic of route 56 is Crabtree Falls. Once you hit 151 take a right and it will take you back to Amherst.
