This is a great ride that begins from the Yardley PA exit of I-95, right at the Deleware River.
Heading North on River Road you'll follow along the Deleware, passing through small, historic towns with plenty of places to stop and eat. The roads wind through woods and past farms, watch for animals, especially deer. The route takes you past a few parks, good for taking a break. This is a nice ride for cruisers or sport bikes. If you stop in New Hope, beware of bike parking laws that are strickly enforced.
The return leg of this loop will cross you into New Jersey for the scenic ride back down Route 29 where you'll get back onto I-95. From Philadelphia, it's about 40 minutes to get to the starting/stopping point. This is a good all-day ride if you make a few stops here and there. The scenery is spectacular and the traffic is tolerable.
