Take 395 to hwy 70 / Hallelujah Junction west. Turn south on hwy 49 to hwy 89 heading into Truckee, CA. 89 Turns into 267 / North Shore Blvd going into North Lake Tahoe. At the lake head west towards Incline Village then take hwy 431 / St Rose hwy back over to the Reno Valley.
Low traffic and great scenery including views of Lake Tahoe and the Washoe / Reno Valley. Watch for sand in the spring months from high altitude roadways. Lots of good stops in the Truckee / Tahoe area for food / drinks.
