Ride Description:

Exit Las Vegas south on hwy 95 / 93 through Boulder City. Continue on hwy 93 to Hoover Dam. There is parking / view points on the AZ side of the dam. Backtrack on hwy 93 to the 166 exit / lakeshore road. There is a toll both shortly after the entrance ($6 for a 5 day pass - n/c after dark). Follow lakeshore to the 564 exiting the Lake Mead Recreation Area. Turn right (north) into the Lake Las Vegas entrance and follow the access road to golf club / casino for food, drinks, etc.

Scenery along lakeshore is mediocre at best ... probably not worth the $6 unless you are using the pass for a longer ride up to the Valley of Fire State Park (remember its good for 5 days). But the route dupes everyone who doesn't know any better at least once so it worth the mention.
