Ride Description:
The Mountain Springs Summit Saloon is a popular bike destination west of Las Vegas. Typically accessed from Blue Diamond Rd / West Charleston Blvd you want to catch the hwy 160 west towards Pahrump. From there you go about 8 miles through wide desert canyons and right as the hwy opens into 2 lanes you will start ascending up the pass. After you reach the summit (about 3200' vertical rise) you will pass a fire station on the right and the next road is the entrance to the Mountain Springs Saloon. Expect about a temperature drop esp. in the evenings. Brings some spare $1 bills to keep the decor going. The bar also has outdoor seating, pool tables, and frequent live bands.
