Ride Description:
Ride takes you north of Savannah into South Carolina through Beaufort and into the http://www.huntingisland.com/">Hunting Island State Park.
Beaufort is a nice small town surrounded by water with a neat historical district to look around in. Lots of places to eat and stop at here.
From Beaufort you continue west on the Sea Island Pkwy to Hunting island. Expect a small park entrance fee to get in. Lots of well maintained picnic facilities as well as beaches and other points of interest here, including the Hunting Island Lighthouse which (for another $2) you can go inside and walk to the top for a great view of the coastline.
Roads in the area are good. Lots of new construction in the Beaufort area which can also get congested during the tourists seasons.
