Ride Description:

Follow route 138 / N Umpqua Hwy east from Roseburg all the way around Diamond lake into the North Entrance of Crater Lake National Park.

Nice scenery along the 138 which travels along side the North Umpqua River all the way to Clearwater. Roads are nice with wide turns through the mountains and plenty of places to pull off and rest. There are however few services including gas stops between I-5 and the Park area so be sure to gas up in Roseburg.

Rim Road is only open from late spring to early fall due to road restrictions. Lots of great viewpoints around the Lake and definitely worth riding in the summer months to see.

Note: from the north entrance to the park it is approx 10 miles to Crater Lake / Rim Road, 105 total from Roseburg.
