Ride Description:
Nice motorcycle ride through the Alabama countryside returning along the banks of Guntersville Lake.
Leave Huntsville on Lee Hwy through Gurley. Turn left on Lee Hwy and follow road along the paint rock river. Nice scenery along the way with a few sharp turns to watch out for. At hwy 146 turn right through Bailytown. This road takes you up Cumberland Mt where you then make a right on hwy 79 heading back down.
Continue to route 79 / Scottsboro hwy where you travel along the west shores of Guntersville Lake. In Henryville take the hwy 431 west back to Huntsville.
Not a lots of places to stop along this route but scenery make for an enjoyable ride.
