Ride Description:

Mountain loop that takes you west of Denver. Connects with Hwy 5 up to the top of Mt Evans in Echo Park which is open during late summer.

Exit Denver west on Hwy 70. Take route 74 in El Rancho. Proceed 3 miles then stay to the right on Squaw Pass Road / Colorado 103. Follow for 17.5 miles to the Echo Lake Park entrance. There is a small toll if you enter the park entering park. This is the access point to Hwy 5 up to the top of Mt Evans (7k-14k feet in 14 miles - only open during late summer)

Return route continues along the Hwy 103 north back to Hwy 70 in Idaho Springs. Follow east back to Denver.
