Ride Description:
Nice half day ride through beautiful Missouri country on lightly traveled roads.
Exit Jefferson city west on route C through Russelville and on to Versailles, known for the apple fest every October. Continue on the 52 through Stover and shortly after turn north on the 135 to Pyrmont then take route M to hwy V to hwy U to Sedalia.
Exit Sedalia east on the 50, take the 5 north to hwy J east through Bruceton and follow all the way to Prarie Home. Take the 87 just south to the 179 and follow it along the Missouri river back to Jefferson City. Great scenery along this last leg.
Most roads are two lane. Traffic is light throughout. Lots of places to stop, eat, and rest in the small towns along the way.
