Ride Description:
Exit Missoula hwy 200 east to Clearwater. Take hwy 83 north. Great scenery along this leg of the trip with views of mountains, lakes, and forest along the way. After swan lake take the 209 west to Big Fork then travel south along the eastern shoreline of Flathead lake. Great lake views here and lots are lots of Cherry orchards in the area including stands to stop and buy at along this road.
Last part of the trip takes hwy 93 south back to Missoula through the Mission Valley. Great views of the Mission Mountain Range to the east.
Road conditions are decent. Mostly 2 lane. Low traffic on hwy 83, a little more on the return through Mission Valley. More restaurants and places to stop on the return half of this trip. Great ride overall.
