Ride Description:

Great day ride around south Washington.

Head north on I-5 to Woodland and get on the 503 east (you can also take the NE Lewisville Hwy and bypass Lake Merwin). There are recreational areas by the lakes and lots of side roads to explore. Beautiful view points of Mt St Helens along the way. Not many services until you reach Carson at hwy 14 so plan accordingly.

Hwy 14 travels along the Hood River. There is a steel grated bridge just after Stevenson. Beacon Rock State Park is a good stopping point with some nice scenery and short hikes.
