Ride Description:

Day ride east out of Redmond, OR around the John Day Fossil Park. Ride could be easily split into 2 days for those wanting to take time to look around. Nice canyon and mountain scenery. Roads are in good condition, lots of twists, and not much traffic. There is also a visitor center at the John Day Fossil beds but entrance to the park is free. Lots of dear in the area and it is recommended to avoid riding at night.

Also be sure to go check out painted Hills 9 miles NW of Mitchel.
